A teachable heart is important to a purposeful journey. The psalmist asks God to make His ways known and to lead him in truth. This is more than a request for information; it expresses a willingness to learn the way God would have him walk.

We may begin a season with sincere intentions and still need adjustments along the way. New understanding can reveal that a decision requires reconsideration. God’s Word may challenge a direction we have become comfortable defending. Being willing to change is not a weakness when the change brings us into alignment with Him.

Discernment keeps us from treating every difficulty as a signal to stop or every easy opportunity as a command to proceed. We examine the path prayerfully, with Scripture and sound counsel, rather than allowing circumstances alone to make the decision.

As we prepare to consider the closed doors in the coming days, offer God your willingness to be taught. Ask Him to reveal His ways, not merely approve your own. You can release a mistaken direction without losing your worth. The goal is not to protect the appearance of certainty, but to follow Him faithfully.
